On August 15, 2024, The Green Fingers School, Akluj celebrated India's 78th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour. The school campus was adorned with tricoloured decorations, balloons, and flags, setting the tone for a memorable celebration. The Chief guest was Brig KGK Nair, SM (Retd). The programme started with the school captain and the parade commander welcoming the chief guest.
The festivities began at 9:30 AM with the esteemed Chief Guest, Brig KGK Nair SM (Retd), hoisting the national flag. The school community stood in unison as the flag unfurled, singing the national anthem with pride and reverence. Post flag hoisting the chief guest inspected the Parade with the school captain which was followed by the eye-catching march past by the students.
The highlight of the day was the dance performances by the students. The event included a Patriotic Dance Performance where students from grades 6 to 8 showcased medley dances. They represented the importance of education, how the nation has fought for education, and how Green Fingers School incorporates 'khelkhel me Siksha' into its curriculum.
After the delightful performance of the students our school magazine ‘THE QUEST….2024’ was released by the chief guest. Principal, Mr. Umakant Baral addressed the students with his words of wisdom followed by the motivating speech of the chief guest.
